However, as mentioned above it covers the best attributes from a wide range of firmness offerings than you would typically expect in a cue tip. I am eager to try a hard tip next (and will be doing so shortly) just to see how that behaves.

UPDATE: I have since tried the hard tip version on a Maximus cue and it is exactly what you would have hoped for. Easy to install and shape with no bedding-in period needed. It is extremely accurate and results in less spin (as expected) when compared to the medium tip but does allow for very accurate striking of the cueball. I had two miscues in the first 10 minutes of play as I was trying some extreme shots and getting used to to it. I then played a 9-hour long session and never had any problems with it. It was a joy to use. It looks, sounds, and feels great! I highly recommend giving it a try if you are in the market for a new tip.
